Unpainted Plastic	54mm (1/32nd - about 2 1/4 inches high)

Mantelets were used by besieging forces from the time of Ancient Assyria and China through the Renaissance. A stout wooden shield was mounted on wheels. An archer or crossbowman, sometimes accompanied by a man at arms to move the mantelet, took shelter behind it when pausing to reload. As the siege lines crept closer to the walls of a castle or city, the mantelet's angled face would deflect or stop incoming missile fire from the walls. (54mm figure shown for scale)
