Bastogne Town Defense - World War II Battle of the Bulge Tri-Series Playset #2

When Hitler's last great push to the West erupted out of the Ardennes forest at Christmastime, 1944, the Nazi armored thrust was blunted at the small but strategically crucial crossroads town of Bastogne. Seemingly unstoppable German units surrounded the American troops, who withstood relentless attacks day after day.

The Yanks, fighting with low ammunition, few medical supplies, no winter clothing or white camouflage suits and no air cover, utilized their artillery and naturally strong defensive positions to hold off the German tank and infantry units.

When a surrender was demanded by the Nazis, the American commander replied with just one word: "NUTS!" The beleaguered Yanks held out until General Patton and his army came to their relief.

Set #2 of our Bastogne Tri Series range recreates the town defense of Bastogne. It features U.S. Artillery (with our own EXCLUSIVE American artillerymen), numerous buildings and defensive position to blunt the Nazi spearhead tasked with taking the town. Can the Germans break through to knock out the Guns of Bastogne?

This is one of three different, but inter-connected, Toy Soldier Company Battle of the Bulge playsets. Each set can stand on its own, but when combined with the other two sets from the same range the resulting collection creates a broad canvas upon which you and your kids can rewrite history! Please note that the contents of each set are almost entirely different from the others in the range. When combining all three sets you will save a further 10% off the cost of the trio.
