Storm the Beaches in our Massive D-Day Playset
This WWII D-Day Playset creates a broad canvas upon which you and your kids can rewrite history! The greatest invasion the world has ever seen took place on June 6, 1944, when the Americans, British and their allies landed on the Normandy peninsula of France. The Germans, despite years fortifying the coast, were not sufficiently prepared to throw the Allies back into the sea. Their commander, the vaunted "Desert Fox," Field Marshal Erwin Rommel, was even unable to get the German high command to allow him to use his own plans for defense. Nevertheless, the Nazis fought tenaciously, holding up the allied forces on some beaches for a day as they poured continuous machine gun and artillery fire into the advancing troops.
