Unpainted Plastic 54mm (1/32nd - about 2 1/4 inches high)
During World War II the U.S. Navy used fleets of sea planes for many different duties. Chief among these was long-range scouting and patrol work over the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Because the seaplane, called a P.B.Y., carried so much fuel, they could stay aloft for up to 12 hours, extending their patrol range beyond that of most other aircraft. They were an integral part of the anti-submarine efforts by the Allies to keep the sea lanes of the Atlantic open, and served throughout the Pacific campaign in air/sea rescue duties as well as scouting. This model floats and has space for 6 54mm figures. It is a limited edition.
