This was Timpo's last range of knights, and its most exciting. Each figure is completely different from the next, not just in pose, as the Crusaders are, but in colors, shield and surcoat design. (Excellent condition, 2 of the figures are missing their shields)
Following in the footsteps of Britain's 'Swoppet' line, Timpo created a range of 'Swap-type' figures in the 1970s which is among the most popular lines we sell. Using a secret method (now lost forever) in which various colored plastics were fused together into one figure, Timpo created the first fully colored soldiers without the use of paint. This unique process avoided the chipping, fading and other signs of aging that painted plastic figures had experienced.
