Unpainted Plastic 60mm (about 2 3/8 inches high)
Atlantic's extensive gold mining range included figures in many different activities related to the task of finding, gathering and selling one's product. The first figure in the set is a prospector who is kneeling with his mining pan, washing out the contents to reveal any nuggets or flakes at the bottom. It's hot work, as he has removed his jacket, which hangs atop his shovel, by his side. The second figure is an assayer or gold merchant. He is standing alongside a workbench which has a balance scale atop it. He is holding a bag of gold dust in his right hand while he pours the contents a second bag, held in his left, onto the scale. A larger bag of gold dust or nuggets is resting on the scale, while several more bags are resting on the ground - between his feet and alongside the bench. Finally, a large satchel of greenbacks lies beneath the bench, ready to be exchanged for the miner's findings. This is a unique figure. Nothing like it was ever produced by another company in plastic or metal. Use it in a town or gold camp throughout the world during the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. Please note that colors of plastic vary.
