In their struggle against Rome, the Carthaginians enlisted help wherever they could. When Hannibal invaded Italy, many of Rome's defeated enemies flocked to his banner to take revenge against the Republic. This set represents such people as the Samnites, Lucanians, Brutii and Apulians. While many of them fought against Rome, they were also to be found, at times, swelling the Roman forces as well, so this set can serve in either army. Note the distinctive Attic helmets.
