For anyone who has ever loved American Western films, director John Sturges' 'The Magnificent Seven' is one of the all-time greats. Drawn from/inspired by the poster art and scenes from the movie, these figures are little plastic versions of Yul Brynner, Charles Bronson, James Coburn, Steve McQueen, Robert Vaughn, Brad Dexter and Horst Bucholz. Now I'm not quibbling with the pose selection. After all, would anyone buy Chico clapping his hands, or Lee snatch up 2 (not 3) flies from a broken down cantina table? It's just that after waiting over 4 decades for these guys, I'm sure everyone has their own personal choices of what the heroes should be doing, So call it jealousy on my part that Steve Weston beat us all to the punch with these guys. Of course, I can still animate Vin scouting the buildings fronts with his hat raised as he drives towards the cemetery, or produce a figure of him shaking those shotgun shells to see if they're still ...why the heck did he shake those shotgun shells, anyway? Congratulations, Steve.
