This exciting toy offers tremendous potential for miniature Egyptologists. One enters the temple through a doorway set into the dressed sandstone pyramid, and immediately faces danger. There's a path carved through the solid sandstone rock, but it's guarded by scorpions, and littered with discarded items left by previous visitors - casks, sculptures, columns, vases and more. Advancing towards the alter, one is flanked by 3 golden statues on each side of the rock base. One faces the altar and sees, on either side of its stairway, two barred treasure rooms. Behind the alter is the golden head of a sphinx. While climbing the stairway one can see a treasure trove hidden beneath the alter. But before one can reach it a secret button is pressed and the stairs give way, dropping the unwary explorer (tomb robber) into an enclosed, inescapable, tomb. The temple complex measures 12 inches wide x 12 inches deep and with accompanying statuary/backdrops, 9 1/2 inches high. It is guarded by 4 additional free-standing statues, each 6 1/2 inches tall.
