Dorset Toy Soldiers' Heroes of Rorke's Drift Limited Edition Series. The Toy Soldier Company commissioned Dorset to produce this exclusive range of action vignettes.

Private Henry Hook of the 24th Regiment of Foot was assigned to help defend the Rorke's Drift hospital. When the Zulus began over running the building, Hook and his comrades bravely protected the wounded and maneuvered them from room to room to prevent their annihilation. Though known as a malingerer, Hook acted with extreme bravery in the face of the enemy. And despite being threatened with being put on report for breaking into the liquor stores, Hook emerged with a wounded man in one hand and a rum bottle in the other! He was awarded the Victoria Cross. Set includes a drunken "Hooky" with rum bottle and a wounded soldier.
'The Heroes of Rorke's Drift' features the men who won Victoria Crosses for their courage above and beyond the call of duty at the Siege of Rorke's Drift during the Zulu War of 1879.
