One of history's most elite units. The Ghurkas were a small hill society who lived in the foothills of the Himalayas. When they found themselves in a war against England in 1824, they acquitted themselves so well that the British recruited large numbers of them into service. They served as riflemen throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, accumulating a brilliant record as fearless, disciplined and above all, ferocious mercenaries, matching the French Foreign Legion in reputation.
