This collection recreates, in elaborate detail, the great Marx Civil War playsets of the 1960s. Almost all of the original figures and accessories you remember from the old days can be found here: both sets of Union and Confederate figures, the famed "Centennials" first released in 1961, plus the steel lithographed mansion with portico, the caisson and gun set, earthen redoubt, ruined mansion, split rail fence, Civil War accessories with mortar, tent set, weapons set, 12-pounder black cannon, falling horse and rider, Union and Confederate cavalrymen, oak trees, dead trees, stumps and rocks, and even the steel lithographed Union and Confederate flags! This is one to cherish and pass down to future generations of young collectors.

The Marx recast sets which make up this collection were produced in the 1990's. They are long-retired and generally unavailable from other dealers.

This is one of three different, but inter-connected, Toy Soldier Company American Civil War Playsets. Each set can stand on its own, but when combined with the other two sets from the same range the resulting collection creates a broad canvas upon which you and your kids can rewrite history! Please note that the contents of each set are almost entirely different from the others in the range. When combining all three sets you will save a further 10% off the cost of the trio.
