History in Miniature's "Assault on the Rhine" Playset!

In the early Spring of 1945, the essential task of the Allied Forces in the West was to cross the Rhine River, enter Germany and end the War. Despite fierce opposition, the Germans had been obliged to retreat east of the river. Following Hitler's orders, they systematically destroyed almost every Rhine bridge in an attempt to halt the Allied advance. But on the night of March 23rd a major push was made under the name "Operation Plunder" to cross the Rhine and secure its Eastern bank. The first Americans across were the U.S. 30th Division, while first across for the British were the famed Black Watch highlanders.

This vintage playset from the 1960s was produced by Life-Like Products in Baltimore Maryland. Released under the "History in Miniature" banner, it features a wide array of figures and accessories. You get 17 WWII vehicles in 6 different styles, 45 figures in action poses, 4 houses (need assembly with glue), plus an assortment of miniature trees.

It's difficult to say how complete the set is, because i could find no reference for it on the internet. But for the HO collector, this is a real find. Contents are in good-excellent condition. Playset box is in good condition.
