Broadly covered are such cultures and civilizations as the Muslims and Crusader States, the emerging nations such as England, France, Germany and Spain, as well as the widespread influences of the Vikings. Other cultures, such as the barbarian tribes (Goths, Vandals, Franks and Saxons, among others), the Eastern Roman Empire, the Ottomans, Russia, Eastern Europe and the Balkans, have only been sparsely featured in miniature. In HO scale, figures of the Middle Ages can be found in Hat, Orion, Zvezda and others. The Middle Ages is the period of time which passed between the fall of Rome to the Goths, and the year that the Christians completed their reconquest of Spain from the Muslims and Columbus made contact with the civilizations of the Americas. The period encompasses numerous military campaigns, civil wars and  the rise and fall of dynasties.(476CE - 1492)
