The Eketahuna Mounted Rifles were a local New Zealand volunteer military corps formed on September 10, 1900, drawing troopers from the Eketahuna and Wairarapa districts before later integrating into the territorial structure of the New Zealand Mounted Rifles. Some members of the unit served in the Boer War.
Dress uniforms were provided in 1904, and their colour was presented in 1907 by the Governor, Lord Plunket, on New Zealand's first Dominion Day.
This very early set by Imperial is mint in its original box.
