Marx Vintage Original - Desert Storm "Liberation" - mint in box
54mm Scale - produced in 1991
Toy Soldiers - set MX4700
Marx of Florida created this EXTREMELY BIZARRE playset in 1991. They combined different sets (in wildly different scales) from different historical eras to come up with something they hoped to sell to cash in on Operation Desert Storm. This "Liberation Limited Edition" set is packed in its original playset box measuring approximately 21" long by 14" wide. The set comes with a mass of figures and accessories, plus a "Commemorative Issue" booklet, inside of which is a certificate of authenticity. Figures and accessories are meant to re-enact the campaign to force Iraq to leave Kuwait and cease aggression.
Contents:
Marx 54mm U.S. Marines as Allied Infantry
Marx 45mm U.S. Infantry as Support Technicians
54mm 105mm Howitzer

6-pc 54mm "Sand Berm" Set
2 large 54mm-scale Interlocking Molded Terrain Pieces each 12 inches square
Missile Launcher (described as "Patriot Missile Launcher.")
Arab Coalition Leader (Marx 60mm Mounted Arab - no horse was included in the set)

Set contents are shown in the photo. Some items may be missing, but the likelihood is that they were omitted from the set when it was first packed by the manufacturer, which was notorious for abysmal quality control.
This set is sold in as-is condition and cannot be returned, in full or in part, for refund, credit or exchange.
