The British Kept 'a Comin' at the Battle of New Orleans!
The British invasion of America during the War of 1812 culminated in the catastrophic defeat of England's army at the Battle of New Orleans. Overconfident of a grand success against a General Andrew Jackson and his motley band of American regulars, local militia and a group of pirates led by Jean Lafitte, the British commander launched a frontal assault against a hastily built defense line. The crushing defeat of England's great army, victors over Napoleon's forces in the Peninsula Campaign, was all the more dramatic because it came two weeks after the War had officially ended! The enlarged playset includes 195 figures and more accessories than our basic set.
