The mortar was the deadliest weapon on the battlefield, accounting for more casualties than any other device in World War II. Pound the enemy on a beach, a field or even in defense positions such as trenches with this vintage Britains Deetail German Mortar Team, protected from counter-fire by a custom-made Form Tech mortar pit. We include 6 vintage Britains Deetail German infantry as support against counter-attacks. The figures and mortar team are hand-painted and come with metal bases (poses will vary). Although intended as a firing model, we cannot guarantee that the mortar will actually work. The figures and mortar of this set are long-discontinued, but bundled this way we can offer a substantial discount. (2 views are shown) Figures are from the mid-1980s, and in good-excellent condition. The mortar pit is current production.
