Among the many items of lend-lease which America supplied to the British armed forces in World War II was the early-War Lee tank. This was a medium tank equipped with a 75mm gun, a 37mm turret-mounted gun and several additional Browning machine guns. Early in the War, when Britains lost most of its armor during the retreat to Dunkirk, they were in desperate need, so the U.S supplied them with 3,650 Lees, many of which saw action in the North African Campaign. The version of the tank included in this bundle is New Ray's first version metal model. The 6 British infantry holding the position are Britains Deetail figures, hand-painted and with metal bases (poses will vary). All elements of this set are long-discontinued, but bundled this way we can offer a substantial discount. (2 views are shown) Excellent-mint condition. (Figures from the mid-1980s, vehicle is provided mint-in-box, made in the early 2000s)
