This set of crossbowmen is supported and protected by "pavisiers", foot soldiers armed with pikes and spears. Some of the pavisiers are carrying over-sized shields, called pavisses, behind which the crossbowmen can kneel to load between shots. The pike and spear men also protect the crossbowmen from marauding cavalry. The set is cast in silver colored plastic and is in perfect scale to Jecsan, Reamsa, Marx, Conte, Fencibles and other medieval figures. Set contains one commander, 4 crossbowmen plus 2 spear men with shields and 2 infantry with long pikes. Although the set is described as having only 3 poses, the varied weapons and arms included make most of the 9 figures different.
