This unique toy is a highly detailed setting suitable for the palace of any Egyptian court, be it a legitimate dynasty or a conquering nation's seat of power, such as the Persians, Macedonians, Romans or more recent overlords.
The Throne Room: The blue base measures 12 1/2 inches wide x 10 3/4 inches deep and, with accompanying statuary/backdrops, 6 3/4 inches high. The floor is of dressed stone, with 3 secret hiding places for the national treasure (a hoard of gold). The throne is set against a long wide golden backdrop, intricately carved in bas relief (raised 3-dimensional sculpture) of the Egyptian Sun God, with cunning designs and hieroglyphic writings. Four silver Egyptian statues frame the sides of the room, while a long arched wall with a wide doorway leads down to a flight of steps for entry. This wall, also in gold, is carved in designs as well. The setting is finished with the addition of 2 tall multi-piece palm trees (copied from Playmobil designs), each 7 inches tall.The Long Palace Wall: A free-standing red sandstone wall measuring 21 inches wide x 2 inches thick x 10 1/2 inches high. One side of the hollow plastic wall is intricately sculpted in high relief (carved into the stone). Depicted are figures, designs and hieroglyphic writings. The other side of the wall appears to be dressed stone blocks, with a bas relief (raised 3-dimensional sculpture) of Egyptian figures.
Two Short Stone Walls: Two free-standing red sandstone walls, each measuring 9 1/2 inches wide x 2 inches thick x 4 1/2 inches high. One side of the hollow plastic wall is intricately sculpted in bas relief (raised 3-dimensional sculpture) of Egyptian figures. On the other side the wall appears to be made of dressed stone blocks, with 6 carved columns supporting a lintel.
Four Large Statues: Four hollow plastic free-standing statues, intricately sculpted. Each measures 6 inches high.
The set comes with crude knock-offs of Playmobil figures, but we are using 60mm Egyptian figures by Jecsan and Atlantic to show scale. (Because this is an oversized item, additional shipping charges may apply. We will contact you.)
