American Revolution Tri-Series Playset #3: Yorktown

By 1781 the tide of The Revolution was turning in favor of the American cause. The French had joined us as allies and their veteran troops bolstered our forces in the field. In Virginia, near Yorktown, a combined American/French Army besieged the last major British Army in the South.

On the evening of October 14th, 1781, two allied assault columns formed to attack two key British defense positions, designated "Redoubts 9 and 10." A French force attacked Redoubt 9, while Lieutenant Alexander Hamilton led his Americans in assaulting Redoubt 10. Overwhelming the defenders, the Americans and French occupied the redoubts, thereby placing British General Cornwallis' army in an untenable position. 5 days later the British surrendered, bringing them to the bargaining table to seek peace terms.

This is one of three different, but inter-connected, Toy Soldier Company American Revolutionary War playsets. Each set can stand on its own, but when combined with the other two sets from the same range the resulting collection creates a broad canvas upon which you and your kids can rewrite history!

Please note that the contents of each set are almost entirely different from the others in the range. When buying all three sets you will save a further 10% off the cost of the trio.
