This set includes 4 different angled trench pieces, each measuring nearly 1/2 inches long x 3/4 inch deep x 1/2 inch tall. Using these, singly or in groups, one can set trenches at different angles, allowing the building of setbacks, fire bays, communication trenches and the like. Two views of the pieces are shown, the wood-planked interiors at the top and the sloped-earth front sides at the bottom. Airfix 25mm WWI figures are shown for scale.
This superb modular trench system features a variety of different terrain elements which can be combined into a practically limitless series of defense works. Each piece fits neatly alongside every other element, so you can create long trench lines, a multi-layered defense-in-depth and many other types of defenses, suitable from the mid-19th century through today. Each piece features a sloped-front of piled earth and a rear side of a wood-reinforced shoulder-high firing step.
